Hinckley Civic Society was formed originally in 1963 by a group, many of whom were architects, concerned about the plans for the new Council Offices now known as Argents Mead. The society remained active until 1989 when it was put into abeyance. In the summer of 2006 local concern was felt about future developments in the town and a meeting in the town museum led to the society being re-inaugurated in the October of that year.
We are dedicated to preserving all that is good in the historical and natural environment of the Hinckley Urban core, and learning more about the history of our town
